I am obsessed with making my own knockoff versions of Pottery Barn decor.
I was inspired by the Pottery Barn Mason Jar in the most recent catalog.
It’s really pretty and if I was a trophy wife, I would probably buy a dozen. .
Did I mention the cost of this mason jar is $49.00? I knew I could recreate it with an empty, Costco size pickle jar I had placed in the trash multiple times only to retrieve it because it was just so big and full of potential. (So big and full potential- describes me when I started working out at the rec center after gaining 20 pounds during my first semester at college). Back to the pickle jar:
This is so easy:
1 large recycled jar (pickle) and 1 candle , trimmed evergreens from Christmas tree and a little grapevine around the top of the jar:
I had everything in my basement. Everything. How often does that happen? Here is the finished mason jar knockoff. What do you think? If we had any snow I would have taken the photo outside.

$49 for that simple thing??? Wow. Your knock-off looks GREAT!
Thanks Mary! Can you believe it?
I think that’s a pretty good knock-off of the Pottery Barn mason jar candle, and a way better price! Now I”m going to have to go through our recycle bin and pull out all the big jars so I can make some of my own
Thanks for the inspiration!
Thanks Kelly!
