Pottery Barn Inspired Spring Mantel Above Headboard

Last year I made a PB Knockoff mantel HERE.  I put the DIY mantel above our bed in the master bedroom with vision of fresh garland and lights at Christmas.

Here’s a recent snapshot of the Christmas mantel.  It looks better at night with the lights on.  I think I need new paint!

And, with April comes a fresher look!  I am desperately trying not to buy new accessories and instead use what I have in my home.  So I put this together with a few minutes between loads of laundry after spring break!  The greenery is from a neighbor’s garage sale.  The clock is perched against the wall and it’s a little lazy so the big hand tends to drop once it is a quarter after any hour.  But, trust me in my house NO ONE is going to notice the time on this clock!

The ‘root’d” sign is from a décor shop in Park City.  Root’d is the name of the adorable shop and I framed the bag after purchasing a few candles and a cookbook!  The owner of the shop actually found my framed sign on a previous post and sent me a sweet email! How cool is that?

I love it!  Of course, now the paint color on the walls (and ceiling) is driving me crazy!  I think it is time for a fresh paint color to go with my fresh mantel!

A look at nooks …. and where mine is going…..

I am obsessed with nooks! Reading, sleeping, snacking…. whatever. I’m not picky!  My {first} husband gets nervous when he sees me hovering over my tablet on Pinterest.  He knows it means he is giving up a Saturday!  These photos are what have me pinning!  Scroll to bottom to see where I want my  our nook.

And, here is our space.  It has the huge turbo television from the 1990′s! Yep, the 1990′s! And yes those are Bronco balloons from the Super Bowl.  Consider this photo my future: “Before” pic!
