Have you heard of Quizlet?
Here is the backstory behind this FREE website, Quizlet:
“Quizlet was founded in 2005 by 15-year-old Andrew Sutherland for a high-school French class. He wanted an easy-to-use tool for learning vocabulary. He built Quizlet for himself, shared it with his friends, and it grew from there. Quizlet is now among the largest educational websites in the world. Millions of teachers and students from every country in the world use Quizlet. Because our website is free, we see no limit to the number of people who could use it.”
I was introduced to this website by my son. His science teacher uses it to help students study the vocabulary. This is a great resource for teachers to help students learn vocabulary in so many subjects! My son spends twice as much time learning his vocabulary words because it is so fun!
I shared this website with my sister who is a middle school teacher. She loves it! She uses it with her 7th graders and incorporates it into her classroom’s smart board!
It’s innovative technologies that will help our students! Please share with your friends, children, family members and teachers! Let’s spread the word as bloggers!
